Field horsetail (Equisetum arvense)


There are two types of aboveground stems: spring and summer. Spring is without many stem - brown, and the summer one is green.
The leaves are reduced and connate located at nodes.
It is spread in the country to 1500 meters above sea level in wet places, embankments, across meadows and fields as a weed.
 
The summer green stem is used. Contains proteins, fats, alkaloids, flavonoids, tanning substances, organic acids and others.
